@waxwing I think it's dangerous to assume people in positions of power aren't smart or evil. Yes, the average person isn't. But with the elites it's a very different, much more selective, group of people.

Much safer to assume the worst and act accordingly.

@waxwing I'm not arguing for or against the network caring. My point there was just to argue that the rational given in the BIP was invalid, and thus better - correct - arguments need to be made.
