tl;dr: yet another group that Revenue Canada is targeting for supposedly not making enough money to qualify for emergency benefits meant to help people deal with being forced by their government to make no money at all...

In this case, a group of people that is having to pay taxes on income that somehow isn't income.

@KevinR4v @nvk Also, more RAM will help with sdcard endurance by allowing more data to be cached, reducing the total # of writes. Probably not a huge improvement. But for $30 I'd do it.

@KevinR4v @nvk Note that RPis really need good sdcards for stuff like Mastodon servers. So if you decide to try that, follow the official recommendations on what brand of SD card to get. There's special high endurance ones for applications like this. A bit more expensive. But it'll save you a lot of trouble.

@KevinR4v @nvk My instance is using about 1.5GB of ram, so it should run alright on a Raspberry Pi 4 with the 2GB or 4GB options. But older Raspberry Pi's probably not.

@cgarison Manufacturing problems are probably more likely than people want to admit. They had to scale up production of the vaccine - as well as many other items - an enormous amount in very little time. That's bound to lead to mistakes.

@cgarison The odds of that happening randomly are really low, even over all the vax clinics out there. Either mass hysteria (possible!), Pfizer had a manufacturer issue with that batch, or contamination in some other item that was used like the sterile water or needles.

@gangrenouspenis @KevinR4v @nvk Yup, it's missing functionality that Twitter has. I certainly think mastodon should allow quote retweets. They're used as a tool of support. If I don't like someone I'll screenshot, and then link the tweet separately, to avoid them deleting.
