Not enough to be annoying for me. But some people might still fall for them.

(it helps that IDM artists pretty much all sell their stuff on bandcamp...)

I don't think you need an ideal effect. Just anything that gums up the rapid moves to locked down boxes would be enough. Fact is if we don't preserve this *somehow* we're all kinda screwed. Not just for social either: Bitcoin wallets...

It'll be very interesting seeing what Biden's attitude towards bitcoin is. First presidency where it's big enough that you can't easily ignore it.

AFAIK you can't build truly decentralized apps with any of those web techs either, as unrestricted local network access isn't allowed.
