@verretor Same with the food court at the mall near me. Probably doesn't help that they seem to be refusing vaccinated teens on the basis of not having proper ID. School-issued ID here has your photo on it. But I saw one group of teens with vaccination proof and school ID get turned away. Not sure if that's actually policy or just an over zealous security guard. Doubly ridiculous because they'd already bought their food.

@lucash_dev @drgo A big question is if the spike protein is actually going away quickly like it should, or is being produced for a longer period. Eg unfortunately RNA _can_ be reverse transcribed back into DNA in some circumstances, so that's at least one potential long term harm. Studying the affected tissues could help better understand what's actually happening.

Toronto Pearson International Departures.

They had to remove all the seating in the food court because of the vaccine passport nonsense. Meanwhile all the other seating is full of people eating.

@lucash_dev @drgo The big open question will be whether or not there are long term effects. I wonder if anyone has actually done biopsies and the like for people who have recovered? Obviously sampling heart tissue is pretty invasive...

@lucash_dev @drgo One factor here may be that classical myocarditis happens to people who have something more seriously wrong with them.

Notice how Alberta Public Health doesn't actually quote the rate of myocarditis in young males. They just vaguely say it's more common, and that benefits outweigh the risks with no actual numbers. They even say young males can still get moderna!

"The new law applies to any engine that produces less than 25 gross horsepower, including lawn mowers, weed trimmers, chainsaws, golf carts, specialty vehicles, generators and pumps."

"...[California] state requirement that portable generators be zero-emission."

How the fuck do they expect to get zero-emission portable generators? The energy density of batteries doesn't even come close.

@pete Really, the only thing the vaccine is good at is to keep your vaccine passport valid.

...and all this risk for a vaccine that is proving to be nearly totally ineffective at preventing infection after just a few months: nature.com/articles/d41586-021

nejm.org/doi/full/10.1056/NEJM

"10.69 cases per 100,000 in male patients between the ages of 16 and 29 years."

Pfizer only according to the study. Quite concerning as Moderna appears to be even more dangerous than Pfizer.
