@lucash_dev @drgo Also their denominator is iiuc _innoculations_ rather than just doses.
@lucash_dev @drgo You realize the Ottawa population is just 994,000 right? 800k doses sounds way too high over that period given so many people bad already been vaccinated.
@lucash_dev @drgo IIUC they're just adjusting for the fact that they got their data from one hospital out of many.
@flvc So what happens if I hold a pro-vaccine protest?
@drgo @lucash_dev The person with the mild heart problem describes their health as poor, so had they not been infected first getting vaxxed may have been a good tradeoff. But since they were already infected (and had a rough time with it) they certainly shouldn't have gotten vaxxed.
@drgo @lucash_dev I know two people with post vax heart issues. One case of hospitalized myocarditis. The other was an existing mild heart problem that got worse when they got covid, and worse still when they got vaccinated. The denominator on that is probably something like 1000 people... Not a good sign.
@drgo @lucash_dev The most dangerous vaccine I've ever gotten is the one for Yellow Fever, and it looks like it's at least an order of magnitude safer than the covid vaccines. _Far_ more safety data on it too.
@drgo @lucash_dev They're also _very_ strictly limiting medical exemptions apparently. Looking like the only ones allowed will be allergies. And that'll never actually be allowed from the looks of it as you can just switch to the dangerous Astra Zeneca if you have an allergy.
Got mild myocarditis from dose #1? Tough. Take the next dose and hope.
@drgo @lucash_dev Here in Ontario natural immunity is being completely ignored. They aren't even reducing the number of doses required if you've been infected before.
@drgo @lucash_dev Health workplaces forcing vaccination is a clever way of eliminating those most likely to question the status quo.
@lucash_dev @drgo More than just "never consented to the risk specifically", those people are being in practice forced to take that risk. It's hard to imagine a worse public health move with regard to long term trust.
@drgo @lucash_dev The phrase "normalization of deviance" comes to mind... That's how NASA got described after the Challenger explosion. Danger signs kept popping up and engineers kept moving the goal posts of what was considered dangerous.
@drgo @lucash_dev Its pretty amazing that unexpected myocarditis shows up, and even though we don't understand why it happens no one seems concerned.

Libertarian: why don't people order their own dinner?
@kekcoin @benis @harding Note that in Canada the section of the criminal code on public nudity actually requires any prosecutions to get the consent of the Attorney General first. This is specifically because the law is recognized to be dubious and the legal system wants top-level review before it gets used.
Really good chance that in your hypothetical you don't actually get charged with public nudity.
@lucash_dev Shouldn't hurt. I actually got it because I was planning on visiting someone with a new baby in a country where rubella vaccination is recommended for close contacts. That's not done separately in Canada, so they just gave me the MMR vaccine.
