@raucao @stephanlivera Hell, I've used XMPP... I really should have remembered to mention that. Sorry!
Finally listened to https://stephanlivera.com/episode/268/ where @pete offers what I think is an excellent analysis and summary of the whole #Signal shitcoin situation from a technical perspective.
The only thing missing is mentioning #XMPP when @stephanlivera asks about federated messaging protocols. But we still have work to do, to make that a viable alternative for a mainstream audience IMO.
@drgo @Secftblgirl If it's a hung jury we can have a hung peaceful protest.
At 5:25 sounds like they invented spin coating: "Finally someone tried pouring the paint out of a cup. The disk coated itself."
@skunksarebetter @alexbuzzbee I think "could care less" is even more dismissive than "couldn't care less" as it implies you've actually thought about it, and you still don't care.
the minimum bar for live sets is now set: you have to be more entertaining than the acid randomizer:
"Fearing" coronavirus surge, families of Toronto FC players relocate to team's base in Florida, a state that hasn't had lockdown since September.
FTFY
@XBT lol, like $500 or something.

Great writeup on why it these blood clots were 1) so alarming, 2) definitely caused by Astra Zeneca.
"So four people out of 132,000 who received the Astra-Zeneca vaccine developed the normally exceedingly rare combination of thrombocytopenia with cerebral venous sinus thrombosis. All had received the Astra-Zeneca vaccine seven to ten days earlier."
"It’s so uncommon that only a handful of cases have been reported in the entire medical literature. Up to now, that is."
COVID-19 location tracking app/tracking fob turns out to have zero privacy, while the company behind it lobbies to make using it mandatory.
Supporting covid tracking in any way shape or form was a massive mistake. The idea that we could get privacy preserving versions of it rather than a panopticon was always a pipe dream.
Resistance is the only option.

@Atlas_Khan I have personal experience with this. :) I lost weight pretty quickly with exercise, and I keep it off. But I'm lucky to have active stuff I actually like to do.
Main thing I need to do is get a job with a commute again... I was so much better when I was cycling to work every day.
That and getting out of lockdown so I can go climbing again...
