Perhaps the most ridiculous thing about this is high quality N95 masks, worn correctly and consistently, probably do work at protecting you.
But the only way you're going to wear them consistently is if they have vents. Without vents, they're way too hard to breath through for any length of time.
Meanwhile, rather than allowing that option to exist for people actually at risk, we got campaigns to ban them. A 75 year old can't wear one on a plane here in Canada.
How it started : "If people just wore these homemade cloth masks, this would be over in a few weeks!"
How it's going: "Germans will be mandated to wear either single-use filtering facepiece respirator (FFP) surgical masks or FFP-2 masks, such as N95s."
Fact is, nearly 100% of the mask wearing in the past year has been performative nonsense. A political symbol rather than a science-based intervention.

That's literally multiple orders of magnitude too high. Likely true in Canada here too, as I've found plenty of people here who thought they had similar chances of dying from it.
The most disturbing is that local teachers seem to be telling kids they're at high risk of dying. Frankly that lie is child abuse.

So, I asked Protonmail support if I can do anything to fix the bouncing of messages from zoomers.lol. They were so kind to look at it and wanted to look at the bounced message. No problem, I send it attached to their ticket system at zendesk (from my protonmail address). A minute later I get a message that it was bounced for spam xD just like my original problem. Now we are debugging three mail servers.
In the end I sent a screenshot of the mail 😬 E-mail is a hard problem.
In criminal cases, prosecutors should have to request a sentence up front, at the start of the case.
Then, if the defence wins the government should pay the defence lawyers a % of the cost of incarceration for every year requested. Let's say 50%
Why? Think about it: by winning, your lawyers just saved the government a _ton_ of money. The US spends an average of $31,000/inmate year. Canada is even higher: $114,000/inmate year.
Heck, do it for reduced sentences too...

iPadOS 14.3 claims that it now reports air quality via Maps and Siri for locations in "China mainland".
Part of Project Dragonfly, Google's CCP-compliant (censored) search product, they had to report air quality lies from government servers in Beijing.
Does anyone know if Apple is now doing this?

Seriously though, this is a concrete example of the harms that come from fraudulent journalism. The journalists at Cointelegraph who spread this misinfo are parasites, gaining a small financial benefit for themselves at the expense of a much larger harm to society.
The one reassuring thing about this widespread outbreak of dementia is at least we know it's not from the covid vaccines.
I'm getting increasingly worried that medical science is about to find a new, widespread, and terrifying cause of dementia.
