time to rise up, disobey. Open your business, if you don't have business, don't use mask, don't social distance
#ioapro ("I open") is the hashtag on twitter
Telegram @ioapro
Stasera tutti a cena fuori e pagare cash
"Tonight everybody out for dinner and pay by cash"
Every region in Italy has a telegram group to coordinate the disobedience
This is beatiful
"A Washington nonprofit group sued Apple in federal court Sunday, demanding that it remove Telegram, a chat and social media app, from its app store for failing to crack down on violent, extremist conversation in the aftermath of the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol."

"In the Asian Flu of 1957-58, They Rejected Lockdowns"
Good article comparing the radically different approach taken to the asian flu than covid, even though the Asian flu was significantly more deadly.
"Newspapers barely covered it and most people did not notice it."
"The refusal to disrupt society and constrain freedom in the presence of a pathogen was an achievement of modern ideas of public health."
Published in nature: Bitcoin emissions alone could push global warming above 2°C. -->>

It is an embarrassment that this was published! They scaled energy with number of transactions: "At each time step, CO2 emissions for the given number of transactions were estimated based on the emissions generated to mine that number of transactions in 2017."
Bitcoin network does not work that way. Energy is spent securing the blockchain, not per transaction.
The ruling comes as a potential blow for social media companies operating in Canada, possibly leaving them open to further lawsuits by Canadian citizens http://thepostmillennial.com/bc-court-allows-twitter-to-be-sued-for-defamation https://twitter.com/TPostMillennial/status/1350931026248429568 #Canada

"May 16th 2019: Someone calls my then employer, falsely identifying themself as a police officer. Office manager proceeded to give out my private phone number and email. I have a written statement about this event from the Office manager." - https://twitter.com/hodlonaut/status/1350848617955913737
One of the dangers of being willing to talk to police, for any reason: they might not be police.
@pete @bryancyan @Genericblog Not only that, but even closed groups were getting the e-mail notice that they need to leave. With open groups like DD it's obvious what's going on because anyone can join and see. But somehow they saw what's happening in a few closed groups. Could be that someone in them snitched, but it's still concerning.
@nvk @bitstein @pierre_rochard Australia explains the power of meat ahead of Australia Day 2031. Watch for cameo by @stephanlivera https://youtu.be/aCIMYjqWxwA
Pretty lol how low-density "red" states with much harder distribution challenges like West Virginia, Alaska, and the Dakotas are the ones doing best at actually vaccinating people. While high-density "blue" states like New York and California are way behind, even though they have every advantage. California is in 5th last place!
It's almost like red states are actually trying to solve a problem rather than milk covid forever for political gains...
@verretor It’s like email but social media
@verretor "The Fediverse is Twitter but you're not invited and we can't stop you from showing up."
@LadyAnarki @jimbocoin sorry, but that's just too fitting 🤣 https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=sFBOQzSk14c
