@kekcoin @michaelfolkson @sjors Worse, there's a fundamental structural problem: tech has greatly reduced demand for unskilled labor, and even many forms of skilled labor. Many of the people in antifa just don't have the aptitude at the right things to have a place in modern economies. The world doesn't need anywhere near as many fine arts grads as are being produced, and many fine arts grads will never learn in-demand STEM skills.

I've hosted the Bitcoin whitepaper for years. I eagerly await my lawsuit. The fraud who does not deserve to be named can't sue us all. https://twitter.com/lopp/status/1351970675989372931?s=19

Craig Steven Wright is a fraud.
That didn't last long. I guess the problem wasn't Trump. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=82JquNv0lqE
@verretor Because lying in court isn't actually as harshly punished as you might think. Yes, perjury is a thing. But it's not actually prosecuted very vigorously, and it's hard to stop a court case on the basis of it by the other side to stop bleeding money.
Gimme a guy dressed as a Viking who wants a photo op in the Capitol and calls the police "patriots" over Antifa/BLM any day of the week plz https://twitter.com/kylenabecker/status/1350962143424819205?s=20
Anyone else experiencing persistent freezing/crashing when interacting with any of @pete ‘s activity on here? Seems to be unique for Peter with me, and happening for weeks.
@btcede Huh, weird. I really have no idea why that'd be happening - my mastodon setup uses all the default settings. Nothing special to it.
@alex The real question is why did we even invent MAC addresses? Why not just use IPs?
...and IPv6 setups almost kinda do that, with MAC address-like link-local addresses, used exclusively for the local LAN broadcast domain communication (though, that can mean getting packets to your gateway!). Though under the hood, mac addresses are still used, because ethernet requires them.
California just passed Florida in cumulative reported cases per capita.
Florida has about twice as many elderly per-capita as California. Adjusting for demographics, CA passed FL in terms of cumulative deaths about a month ago.
After almost a year of hard lockdown all they've achieved is a ruined economy, and thousands of non-covid excess deaths among younger demographics.
The tyrants pushing unscientific lockdowns have young blood on their hands.

@sebx2a Setting up mx1.archive.opentimestamps.org took long enough that I haven't actually gotten around to time-stamping anything with it... 😂
@Raynbo If I remember correctly, he wanted mandatory masks all over the country. Looks like he's limited to federal property.
@btcede Like, if you reply to me here, what happens? What client are you using?

Interesting problem: the Mastodon software allows users to block moderators.
Which apparently some trolls are abusing by creating new accounts, blocking the mods, posting offensive material, and attempting to get the instance banned by others on the basis of that material.
Supposedly the official position of the Mastodon devs is this isn't a problem that needs fixing.

Literally the day that Biden is getting sworn in, the WHO issues an official warning on the risk of false positives in PCR tests for COVID-19 due to overly high cycle counts.
