@nvk can I run an instance on a raspberry Pi? Otherwise I have no more hardware for this... anyhow have a website to post my thoughts if Twitter and Mastodon both fail.

@KevinR4v @nvk My instance is using about 1.5GB of ram, so it should run alright on a Raspberry Pi 4 with the 2GB or 4GB options. But older Raspberry Pi's probably not.

@KevinR4v @nvk Note that RPis really need good sdcards for stuff like Mastodon servers. So if you decide to try that, follow the official recommendations on what brand of SD card to get. There's special high endurance ones for applications like this. A bit more expensive. But it'll save you a lot of trouble.

@KevinR4v @nvk Also, more RAM will help with sdcard endurance by allowing more data to be cached, reducing the total # of writes. Probably not a huge improvement. But for $30 I'd do it.
