@pete That's pretty rad but how does that big plastic thing moving all over the wing plus the weight of the motors, extra electronics or winches not reduce the flight time much more than a few bugs is beyond me

@Bitcoinlabrador actually gliders carry hundreds of pounds of water ballast because they fly _better_ with extra weight in a lot of circumstances. So a bit of plastic won't make any difference. Also stowed, the big wiper is in an area where you wouldn't expect much extra drag to happen.

Insects definitely cause drag. Even rivets made a big difference and airplanes go to great lengths to use totally flush rivets.
