Remember COVID-19 testing has become a hundreds of billions of dollar industry overnight. One where poor quality - false positives - leads to even more business.

@pete it’s amazing how people think you can scale testing of very sensitive material orders of magnitude overnight without introducing any loss of reliability.

Tests are taken as revealed truth, and policies that cost trillions and impact the lives of hundreds of millions are made based on them without any consideration for quality control whatsoever.
