@pete this is one of the things that is painful to me when people say bitcoin supporters are right extremists (sure, some are, i mean in general), Nazi's would have absolutely hated bitcoin, anyone and anything they couldn't control had to die
(and that's not even considering that something like bitcoin would have allowed some Jews to flee with their wealth)
@orionwl The history of Swiss banking secrecy is in part to allow German Jews to hide their wealth form Nazis. A double edged sword, because it also let Nazis hide stolen wealth. But that's the nature of freedoms.
@orionwl On balance, I'd much rather be providing a way for the persecuted to hide wealth.
During the war, the Nazi's didn't need to hide their wealth; after the war, the Nazi's just weren't all that relevant anyway. Fact is, the allies rather literally decimated them. Probably worse.
@pete people don’t realize what the fascism actually means. Listened SLP248 and suddenly it clicked with me. We already live in fascism in most parts of the world, though the rulers want us to believe that’s democracy.
