discord is basically a collection of chat rooms that are either text or voice
it kinda sucks tbh

Otherwise it has federation, E2EE, easy server-side media hosting (for posting memes).
Doesn't check all the boxes but Sphinx chat is leveraging LN key send payments to deliver messages in a chat protocol
