Now that Sweden's 2020 mortality statistics have been finalized, we can see the horrifying COVID-19 death toll with a good magnifying glass.

@pete If you'd make this graph with average years of life lost it'd be even more extreme.

(As in Covid not being that bad vs the Spanish flu or any other.)

@bitcoinunity Indeed it would. I don't have Swedish data handy. But at least in Canada a full 71% of all reported covid deaths were in nursing homes: ltc-covid19-tracker.ca/

Typical life expectancy in nursing homes is a few months, to at most a few years.
