@nvk @mattodell One possibility: inject slightly annoying begs for donations into non-paying account's timelines. You can probably even adjust the frequency of these showing up to get the right amount of money to run the service while keeping the annoyance at a minmum.

At worst it's like twitter ads, at best you won't need to use it often because people pay enough anyway and it's just a friendly reminder.
