Teslas basically stall the motors to generate heat, then pump coolant into the motor and transfer it into the battery pack. People seem to think this is really clever, and I think it's actually really stupid. Like, phenomenally stupid.
You cannot heat the battery pack quickly when you need to heat up the thermal mass of the motors first.

@TechConnectify Have you worked out how long it takes to heat up the motors compared to the battery pack? The motors have about 1/10th the mass of the battery packs, so I'd be surprised if it adds more than 15% to the warming time, even including losses.
Seems like it could be a good tradeoff to reduce weight and cost.
