@pox @verretor @pete Yeah, but it's not really worth it. Getting sick now and then is just a cost of doing business imo, it sucks for a week or two, but social distancing sucks way more. I went to Chaos Communication Congress every year (after xmas) knowing that I had a good chance of catching something (colloquially called "congress flu"). If it happens it happens, life goes on if you are otherwise healthy.
If someone else's risk profile differs they are free to stay away from other people.
@pete @pox @verretor I also heard a theory about perverse incentives: hospitals seem to get more funding if they are especially strained, so of course they try to look that way. But it's hard to prove/disprove of course without on-the-ground investigation.
