I don't have a receiver, so I can't measure it myself. But looks like minimum latency from message broadcast to reception is on the order of a few seconds according to the website. A cheap computer clock will actually drift much more than that in a week! +-100ppm is +-60seconds.

@drgo @excellion@bitcoinhackers.org @grubles Unfortunately my apartment doesn't have a line of sight to geostationary, or I'd just give this a try myself.

Currently messages are cheap enough you could just send PGP signed messages via the broadcast API for a quick-n-dirty proof-of-concept.
