Never use Adobe products!

Many years ago, I stopped using Acrobat even, just because it was the buggiest thing I'd ever seen and full of weird, horrible bloat when all I wanted to do was read a document (at that time, I wasn't using Linux, luckily I don't even have to think about this trash any more).

And the above is just one of many horrific stories I've heard about this company.

@waxwing IIRC California actually passed a law that required companies that offer online signups to also offer online cancellation.

@pete can't a person just automatically, *easily* cancel the payment on the credit card (or whatever) side? Then simply the fact that i've sent an email saying 'cancel' should mean they'd be pissing in the wind if they tried to enforce payment on something i didn't want.

if the answer to the first question is 'no', then that's very interesting.

@waxwing @pete canceling a CC payment doesn't cancel your obligation to pay per any agreement you made. Sure, few companies are going to sue you to force you to continue some $10/year subscription, or whatever, but you're always talking a risk that they won't send your bill to a collection agency that will harass you.
