Great point! Whose to say Amazon deletes Parler's data when they leave?

Raynbo@rayn.bo - The major concern we have with Parler now is that since they had been using Amazon’s AWS all along, how much data has been collected on everyone?
@crunklord420 Heh, yeah, I get the feeling. Still, it's hard for them to avoid creating software that's useful for the rest of us. :P
+1 re: Pleroma. Gonna have to try it out some time.
@dielan @crunklord420 Not gonna lie: my first thought when you said "automatically import" was "how can I turn this into a security exploit"... :P
...so does it import the magic keyprase? Like : bitcoin : for ?
@dielan @crunklord420 Ah, yeah, that's fine modulo theoretical "illegal data" legal risks. Mastodon has that anyway inherently due to how it works. As do tons of protocols.... Hell, think about "illegal data" in the Certificate Transparency logs. :P
Nah its harmless. I dont know the specifics, nor can i write in Elixir, but yeah if a post from a remote server came to us with emoji text we didnt have saved it downloaded the resulting posts png file and loaded it up
Its not running anymore but we have a ton of emojis as a result of the short time it was on
Most MRFs are for automated moderation, but you really can do anything
