Ended up going a little farther than I planned but my mental health demanded it.

@PhoneBoy Make sure you're stretching and rotating shoes. My wife is an avid runner and is at high risk for bone spurs because she doesn't stretch appropriately. You're now running at the distances where that risk increases.

Have you considered relays or team running or do you do it just to be out by yourself?

@51rH0n3y84d93r these days I run in sandals, not shoes. Amazing how much about your running form gets “fixed” when you do that.

I run as a way to get the fuck away from everyone else. And for the cardio. Definitely not for any sort of competition.

@PhoneBoy Got it. My wife gets a thrill for doing it as a team with a relay. I don't really see the appeal, but since you're now making some good distance, was curious if maybe it was just me that didn't see the fun!

@51rH0n3y84d93r my speed does not put me anywhere near competition level. It’s enough to know I can do the work.

I’ve become a fan of zero-rise shoes of all sorts. Anything that gets you closer to the way we were designed to run (barefoot) is better for you in the long run.

@PhoneBoy @51rH0n3y84d93r I've literally bought something like a half dozen of the exact same no-rise runners from Merrill. They wear out kinda fast. But they're perfect.
